Having worked in civil engineering and agriculture for many years Ian Benton was often asked to remove silt from ponds.
Due to his experience of a very wide variety of agricultural and construction machinery/equipment, has led to the restoration, repair and construction of ponds, which has now become his full time job.
Most of his work comes from customer recommendations, Ian is also an approved contractor to Local Authorities and Environmental Groups.
Ian's objective is to provide and restore environment friendly ponds and lakes to a high standard.
He has successfully created and restored many ponds and lakes that will be around for years to come.
Ponds are an important habitat for plants and animals, they create diversity in the landscape and have historical associations.
Ian hopes that he can play a part in replacing many of the thousands of ponds lost over the last century.
He is a founding member of the Ponds Conservation Trust.
